Nothing Left (To the End of the World)

Wandering in an endless daze of city lights and haze
Searching for what can't be found or explained
It's a hopeless quest but you're trying
You'll look until there's nothing left

To the end of the world if that's what it takes
To the depths of the sea, 'til time's been erased
When the ocean stops breaking, when the planet quits shaking
I'll be waiting at the end of the world

The familiar becomes a blank memory
All you know is what used to be
Nothing static, everything changing
Of normalcy there's nothing left

To the end of the world if that's what it takes
To the depths of the sea, 'til time's been erased
When the ocean stops breaking, when the planet quits shaking
I'll be waiting at the end of the world

The moon has been darkened, no stars in the sky
The cities are burning as planets collide

(repeat chorus)

Contentment

Making breakfast after work
Realized we're out of milk--
Manage, we will
Lazy, lying in a chair
Running fingers through your hair
And time stands still

Four days out on the road
No rush to get back home
Driving through a mountain pass
Taking the train downtown
Never lost, just turned around
Making this trip last

Doing homework, fighting sleep
Cost of loans is getting steep
Many bills to pay
Writing songs and going broke
Lucky neither of us smoke
We'll break even someday
